The Roof Garden at The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills

The Roof Garden at The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills

Saturday. 6/27/20

7:30 - 8:00 - The dog starts barking so I go downstairs and take her out. She pooped near the front door. Cheese for her and I go upstairs. L. leaves for work a few minutes later.

8:00-9:00 - I go through my Ipad and clean up my “Favorites”. I’m stalling because I know I have to exercise.

9:00 - 10:00 - I do a 40-min Pilates and Yoga app. My muscles are incredibly tight and I’m terrible at Pilates. Hopefully, I’ll improve.

10:00-10:30 - I make banana bread with the bananas my ex left here and add walnuts. It needs to bake for an hour.

10:30-12:00 - I shower, put on one of my more expensive maxi dresses, and make-up. L. returns at 11:15 with a coffee for me - how nice! At 11:30, I take out the banana bread. Perfect! I finish getting ready and L. and I leave.

1:00-3:00 - L. and I have lunch at The Roof Garden at The Peninsula Hotel. It’s outdoors and wonderful. The staff mask and the tables are appropriately social distanced. I have the Udon bowl and two glasses of champagne and L. has the roast chicken with cauliflower and chickpea dressing, along with cucumber-mint yogurt.

4:00 - 5:30 - Return home and L. goes to the grocery store and I take a nap.

5:30-7:00 - Blogging time.

7:00-9:30 - I sweep the patio and water all my plants.  I make overnight oats and prepare  my coffee for breakfast tomorrow, then lay out my bicycle uniform.  I also get my “bike kit” ready – a small purse with Purell, gloves (just in case), chap stick, a few paper towels, a small snack pack of nuts and raisins, and my ear buds.

9:30-11:30 - L. and I watch two episodes of Love After Lockup and scream at the TV.

12:00-1:00 – Nighttime routine.
