Day 36 of Governor Newsom’s “Blueprint for a Safer Economy”
Return to Harbor Cove…
Friday. 10/2/20
7:30 - 8:00 - My alarm goes off. I’m up and I put my clothes in the drier, then go downstairs and take the dog out. The sprinklers did NOT come on this morning so I re-set them and they come on a few minutes later. I warm up my coffee and give the dog cheese. Class is starting soon.
8:00-8:45 - I respond to some emails from College No 2 and update attendance from when I was in Catalina.
8:45-9:45 - Shower. Spa Day. Light make-up. I put on my bikini and a black-and-white maxi-dress, grab my beach bag and back-pack, and go downstairs.
9:45-10:00 - I post the Chapter Review quiz. Class is almost over. I make scrambled eggs and cheese.
10:00 - 10:30 - I go through my lunch and beach bags to make sure I have everything, then check in with the class to see if the students need anything. They don’t.
10:30-5:00 - B. arrives and we return to Harbor Beach Cove. It’s 105 here, but 85 at the beach, and we stay the entire day. Around 1:00, I go in the water up to my chest - it’s refreshing. I return to our beach blanket to dry off and fall into the deepest sleep I’ve had for some time. When I awake, I don’t know where I am for at least 10 seconds. Usually, by 4:00, it’s cold and windy in Ventura, but today it’s nice and warm, and this is continuing into the 5:00 hour. Unfortunately, B. says we have to go - I’m not sure why - and gives me a 10-minute “last call” so we pack up everything and abruptly leave.
5:00-8:30 - Return to B.’s house and watch the next two episodes of Ratched on Netflix. This series is surprisingly bloody and violent.
8:30-9:00 - B. drives me home.
9:00-11:00 - I unpack everything then update my blog and log receipts into my budget journal. I handle some personal admin stuff.
11:30-12:00 - Kitchen duty.
12:00-1:00 - Night time routine. Bed.
