Day 58 of Governor Newsom’s “Blueprint for a Safer Economy”
Nobu for lunch…
Saturday. 10/24/20
9:00–10:45–Up and I go downstairs to take the dog outside. She’s been up for awhile and jumps on the child gate as I’m stepping over it. I cue her with the sentence, “Lets go potty!”, she grabs her stuffed animal, and we go outside. She goes to the bathroom and we go back inside. Chicken for her. Coffee for me. I go upstairs.
Shower. Jeans, a long-sleeved black top, and my New Balance tennis shoes. Light make-up. I grab my jacket and L. and I leave for Nobu Restaurant in Malibu. We have reservations at 12:00 - L. had to make them 30 days in advance.
10:45-12:00 – Drive to Malibu
12:00-2:00 – At Nobu. I am so happy to be here!! L. and I are seated on two couches, outside on their patio, overlooking the beach. It’s overcast, but warm. L and I split the shrimp special and I order two pieces of tuna sashimi. L. gets a novelty drink. The food is amazing and it is so nice to eat at a wonderful restaurant, with great food and service.
Because of Covid, customers are relegated to a 90-minute dining experience, so we leave at 2:00.
2:00-3:30–L. is driving so I ask if she will stop at Kohls curbside pick-up for some yoga pants I bought. We pull into the requisite parking spot and call Kohls - an employee brings my package to the car and L. and I leave. L. goes through the Starbucks drive thru on the way home and she gets a novelty drink, while I get a coffee.
3:30–5:00 - Home and I watch Klansville and prepare a video quiz for Specialty Class No. 2. In between watching Klansville and preparing the video quiz, I grade Extra Credit essays received from students at College Nos. 1 and 2.
5:00-6:00 - I have chicken and carrots for dinner, upstairs in my room, and watch the second season of Unsolved Mysteries.
6:00-7:00 - grade Extra Credit essays.
7:00-7:30 – I take the dog for a walk.
8:00-11:00 - grade more Extra Credit essays.
11:00 – 12:00 – I do a 1-hour, HIIT workout full body circuit, with 5-pound weights.
12:00-1:00 - Night time routine and bed.
