Day 44 of rollback-California Covid-19 spike - Governor shuts us down
The Hyatt, at Huntington Beach…
Tuesday. 8/26/20.
8:30 - 10:00 - I’m up so I go downstairs and take the dog out. No accidents today. We go inside and I give her cheese. Coffee and I take a shower. I finish packing the last of my toiletries.
10:00-10:30 - I do a 30-minute lower body workout app, with weights.
10:30-11:30 - Makeup. Hair. I put on a dress and wedge sandals.
11:30-12:00 - I check all of my bags to make sure I have everything: beach bag, bike bag, lunch bag, and the personal back-pack I take everywhere. I have some overnight oats.
1:00 - 2:30 - B. picks me up and we are off to the Hyatt, at Huntington Beach!!!!! Thank god.
3:00-7:00 - Arrive at the Hyatt and B is upgraded!!! For $40 a night, we get a huge suite with ocean views!!! Our room is GORGEOUS!!! Change into our swimsuits and go immediately to the pool. Unlike my HOA, there is pool furniture!!! Everyone is social distancing and the waitstaff are wearing masks, but we don’t need to order drinks because I brought several prosecco-in-a-can(s) for this trip and B. brought margaritas-in-a-can for himself. The pool is beautiful - pool staff passes out free towels - and B. says the water is super warm.
8:00-9:30 - We go for barbecue at a restaurant located at one of their outdoor malls. We sit outside and waitstaff are masked. Dinner is excellent - barbecue chicken, macaroni, and jalipeno cornbread. I have a glass of champagne.
10:00 - 11:00 - Return to the Hyatt and bed.
