Day 43 of Governor Newsom’s “Blueprint for a Safer Economy”
Issues with my Zoom continuing education credits…
Friday. 10/10/20
8:00-10:30 - Exhausted. Class starts in 30 minutes. I drag myself downstairs and take the dog out then grab my coffee and run to my office so I can post class content and the Discussion Board prompt for my two morning classes. I should be working on something as class unfolds, but I’m too tired to focus on much of anything right now.
10:30 – 12:30 - Class runs without incident. I have a piece of chocolate cake from B.’s birthday, then go upstairs to shower. Covid-19 uniform. Light make-up. I eat some Western Meal in One.
12:00- 4:00 - To B’s house to watch the pre-recorded VP debates. When I get there, I sign into a Zoom meeting for a Flex event at College No. 1, which will last from 1:00-3:00. I use the black screen and mute myself – I’m not sure if I’ll get credit for this or not – and then B. and I watch the debate. We stop it throughout and make comments. It’s a relief to see two people debate the issues in a boring way, without screaming at each other. The last debate with Trump and Biden was horrible.
4:00-6:30 – B. follows me home with his drill so he can help L. remove a toilet paper holder. I make him a 7&7 and he stays for awhile. We talk politics in my room.
7:00–7:15-I sign into another Flex event at 7:00, in black screen again, and B. leaves shortly thereafter. As I’m walking by my office, I hear the instructor yelling at me, saying, “Oh! I guess you’re not going to talk then!!” I feel so uncomfortable that I abruptly leave the Zoom meeting. I tell L. and R. about the Zoom meeting. They’re watching the Saw movie franchise.
7:15-8:00–Dinner (I can’t remember what I ate)
8:30-9:30 – L. and I listen to Spooked, then she leaves to take a call from her friend, A.
9:30 – 11:00 - I read Why Did I Get a B? but keep falling asleep.
11:00 – 12:00 - Night time routine. Bed
