Day 42 of rollback - California Covid-19 spike - Governor shuts us down
Sunday. 8/23/20
9:30 - 10:30 - B. and I wake up. I take a shower and get ready as he goes to Starbucks to pick up coffee. B. also brings back donuts.
10:30 - 11:30 - We watch the first episode from Immigration Nation. I leave.
12:00 - 12:30- Gas. It’s $2.99 a gallon now, if you pay in cash.
12:30-1:00 - Home and I start a load of laundry. I also start packing for my upcoming beach trip.
1:00-4:00 - I record Monday’s lecture, to be played with a chapter quiz and the PP slides. I have left-over chicken tortilla soup when I’m done.
4:00-9:00 - I set up all my classes for next week, including notes that dictate when each piece of supplementary material is deployed, because the class is “synchronous” and taught in real time. As a reminder, I teach Mondays, from 2:30-5:30 [ College No. 1]; Wednesdays, from 8:30-10:00 [College No. 2 and high school]; Thursdays, from 2:30-10:00 [College No. 1]; and Fridays, from 8:30-10:00 [College No. 2 and high school]. I have a glass of champagne.
9:00-10:00 - I water my plants. The yard is covered in leaves and looks terrible.
10:00-11:00 - I finish most of the packing for my upcoming beach trip. Not hungry today.
11:00-12:00 - L. and I listen to Radio Rental [podcast].
12:30-1:30 - Night time routine. Bed.
