Day 28-Governor Newsom rescinds restrictions. Outdoor dining reinstated!
At Lucilles for dinner tonight…
2/21/21. Sunday.
10:30 – 11:30 – Up. Downstairs and I say good morning to the dog. She’s still asleep and doesn’t want to get up. I rub her tummy three times, then she grabs her toy, and we go outside. Two people are outside my gate, in the common area driveway, talking and minding their own business. The dog goes nuts, barking continuously at the back gate. OMG! It’s too early for this. I close the doggie door and lock her inside for a few minutes, mindful of the fact that she has to go potty. I hope she doesn’t pee on the couch, which has happened before.
I start the dishes and heat up my coffee. The two people finally move on and I take her outside so she can go to the bathroom. She runs back and forth, looking up at the birds, and finally does her business.
Back inside, and the last of the rotten chicken for her; coffee for me. I continue with the dishes and listen to Spoiler Special on Saint Maud. It’s a horror movie and sounds interesting.
11:30-12:30 – I check/respond to emails at both Colleges. I also check my personal email. I check my DE class to see if the Anonymous Grader reviewed the assignment that I submitted on Friday. Still nothing. The Anonymous Grader doesn’t typically work on weekends.
12:30-1:30 – Blog post.
1:30-3:00 – I HAVE to get a workout in, especially before I leave for my trip. Stay tuned with regard to the location!! I do a 1-hr HIIT full body circuit workout with 5-lb weights and listen to a Chapter 8 AUDIO lecture on globalization that I recorded last semester for Specialty Class No. 1 while I work out.
-I pull my suitcase down. Light packing.
3:00-4:30 – I have the rest of L.’s pulled pork sandwich. I guess she didn’t want it. I read a Money Diary.
-L. leaves to take her friend, A., out for a birthday lunch.
5:00-6:15 – Shower. Lotion. Light make-up. I wear a sweater, leggings, and thigh-high boots. I listen to a Vox Worldly episode on India’s protesting farmers.
6:15 –8:30 - B. arrives and we drive to Lucilles, where he has a gift card he received in the ‘Before Times’. We get a table outside, under a heat lamp, and there is plenty of space between us and the other patrons. Dinner is…excellent! I’m pleasantly surprised! I have good ol’ Southern fried chicken and mashed potatoes, with green beans thrown in, and a nice glass of champagne. B. has…something??? He likes his meal, too. Although I eat A LOT of food, I still have leftovers – it might be enough for lunch and dinner tomorrow – so I’m happy about that. A great meal all the way around.
8:30 – 10:30 - Return home for Cocktail Hour!!! and TV time. Episode 4 for The Investigation has not dropped yet so I arrange for us to watch Murder at Middle Beach. We watch the first two episodes – I like the series and I’m intrigued. Who actually killed Barb? There are multiple suspects.
10:30 – B. leaves.
10:30-11:00 – I catch up with L. Did she put her windshield wiper blades on yet? I need her W2 from Door Dash so I can do her taxes. How is school going?, etc.
11:00 – I start a load of laundry. I’ll hang the items tomorrow morning.
11:15-12:00 – Night time routine. Bed. I listen to What a Day while I take my make-up off.
