Day 14 - Governor Newsom imposes new restrictions

The Undoing…

The Undoing…

11/29/20. Sunday.

8:00 - 8:30 - I sleep in slightly, then take the dog out. The yard is covered in leaves again (sigh). She does her business and we come inside. No accidents that I could find, although perhaps the dog shit is covered in leaves. Bacon for her and hot lemon water for me. I go upstairs and start grading papers.

8:30-12:00 - Grade papers for Specialty Class No. 1 for tomorrow. I work on “Group 2 - Prompt 2” and re-listen to the 365 Podcast - Episode 252 - Endurance Means Not Stopping and Insights From The Edge.

-B. calls and invites me over to his house at 7:00 to watch the last episode of The Undoing.

12:00-12:30 - I make a strawberry, avocado, almond butter smoothie and read a Money Diary.

12:30-4:30 - Grade papers. “Prompt 3.” I listen to True Crime Garage - Top 10 Best Movies and note them on my “media list” while I work. I also listen to What Next; the New Yorker-Politics and More and The Weeds. I finish the Prompt 3s.

4:30-5:30 - I make a spinach, avocado, zucchini, tomato salad and add pieces of turkey as a side. I read Money Diaries.

5:00-6:30 - Shower. Covid-19 uniform. Light make-up.

6:45 - I leave for B.’s and try to get gas at my favorite [read: cheapest] gas station, but the main road is blocked off for construction.

-I give up and drive to B.’s. On the way I stop at Chevron, the most expensive gas station known to man, and refuse to spend more than $10.00 here. Gas is $3.35 a gallon at this pump!!

7:30 - 9:30 - At B.’s house and we watch the last episode of The Undoing. What a nail biter! It kept us guessing the entire time. I leave.

10:00 - 1:00 - Home and I go to work.

-I scan the Extra Credit essay assignments so I can return them to the Monday morning students tomorrow. Recall that my scanner is extremely slow and can only scan one page at a time. Even so, it jams continuously. While the essays scan, I work on “Prompt 4.” I continue listening to Dead and Gone and then What a Day.

-I also load Monday afternoon’s Final into Canvas, manually. This means I type one question at a time, with four multiple-choice responses, 50 times, for a total of 50 questions.

1:00-1:15 - I get up to stretch my legs, take the dog out, and lock all the doors. Light kitchen duty.

1:30-3:30-I start scanning the 12 papers I completed from Group 1 so I can return them Monday afternoon, between 2:30 and 5:30. This is the last class of the semester. I listen to an interesting podcast from the Decoder Ring: The Cabbage Patch Kids Riots and What Next.

-While they scan, I continue grading the “Prompt 4s.”

3:30-4:30 a.m. -I finish 7 papers and scan those, too. I listen to Crime Junkie.

4:30-5:00- I prepare the Discussion Board for tomorrow morning’s class. I know I’ll be so out of it I’ll have no idea what I’m doing.

5:00-5:30 a.m. - Night time routine. Bed.
